Key Responsibilities
- Lead the electrical design process for major projects, including system architecture, component selection, and schematic development.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring timely and cost-efficient project delivery.
- Develop and maintain detailed technical documentation, including design specifications, wiring diagrams, and installation guides.
- Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather requirements and ensure designs are practical for implementation in Birmingham and beyond.
- Mentor and guide a team of electrical engineers and designers, fostering a high-performance culture and promoting best practices in electrical design .
- Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, standards, and safety regulations.
Requirements
- Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in electrical design, with a significant portion in a lead or supervisory role.
- Demonstrated expertise in low-voltage and high-voltage systems design.
- Proficiency in electrical design software (e.g., EPLAN, Revit MEP) and simulation tools.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies and team leadership principles.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
