Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and engineering of high-voltage power systems, substations, and distribution networks.
• Develop detailed electrical schematics, single-line diagrams, and protection coordination studies.
• Oversee project lifecycle from concept and feasibility studies through to detailed design, commissioning, and handover.
• Provide expert technical guidance and mentorship to a team of electrical engineers and technicians.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure the quality and compliance of procured electrical equipment.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for complex power system challenges.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, with a specialization in Power Systems.
• Significant experience (8+ years) in the design and management of electrical power systems.
• Expertise in power system analysis software (e.g., ETAP, PSS/E) and protection schemes.
• Proven ability to lead engineering teams and manage complex projects effectively.
• Strong understanding of relevant UK electrical standards and grid codes.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.
