About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead their projects from a fully remote capacity. Based in the Birmingham area, you will take ownership of electrical system architecture, from conceptualization through to deployment, ensuring state-of-the-art solutions. Key Responsibilities

• Define and oversee the electrical engineering strategy and roadmap for key projects.
• Architect, design, and implement complex electrical systems and components, ensuring compliance with all relevant standards.
• Provide expert technical leadership and mentorship to a team of remote electrical engineers.
• Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to translate requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively in a remote setting.
• Conduct thorough design reviews and risk assessments to guarantee the reliability and safety of electrical systems.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior capacity.
• Proven track record in designing and deploying large-scale electrical systems.
• Expertise in power electronics , control systems, and embedded systems design.
• Excellent understanding of project management methodologies and experience working with distributed teams.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills suited for a remote environment.
