About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead their electrical engineering department based in Manchester . This senior role requires a proven leader with a deep understanding of electrical systems design, project management, and team leadership. You will be responsible for setting the technical direction, overseeing complex projects from inception to completion, and mentoring a team of talented engineers. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale electrical projects.
- Manage and mentor a team of electrical engineers, providing technical guidance and performance feedback.
- Develop and enforce electrical engineering standards, best practices, and safety protocols.
- Oversee project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation for electrical engineering activities.
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies to ensure project success and compliance.
- Drive innovation by exploring and implementing new technologies and methodologies in electrical engineering.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in electrical engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex electrical engineering projects from start to finish.
- Expertise in power systems, instrumentation, and control systems design.
- Strong understanding of relevant building codes, standards, and regulations.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
