About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Electrical Engineer to spearhead electrical engineering initiatives in Manchester . In this senior position, you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers, overseeing the technical direction of projects, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and innovation are met. This role is critical to driving forward the company's ambitious engineering goals and requires a leader with a strong technical background and excellent people management skills. You will be instrumental in shaping the future of electrical design within a leading organisation.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of electrical engineers, providing mentorship and technical direction.
Oversee the entire electrical design process for major projects from conception through to completion.
Develop and implement strategic electrical engineering plans and roadmaps.
Ensure compliance with all relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
Review and approve electrical designs, calculations, and technical documentation produced by the team.
Collaborate with senior management and stakeholders to align electrical strategies with business objectives.

Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Over 10 years of progressive experience in electrical engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Demonstrated expertise in power distribution, high-voltage systems, and complex control architectures.
Proven ability to manage engineering projects and teams effectively.
Excellent understanding of project management principles and risk assessment.
Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
