About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Frontend Developer to spearhead their frontend development efforts in Coventry . You will be responsible for guiding the technical direction, architecture, and implementation of user-facing features across multiple platforms. This role requires a deep understanding of modern web technologies, a passion for building exceptional user experiences, and the ability to mentor and lead a talented team of developers. You will play a critical role in shaping the future of our digital presence and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, performant, and accessible web applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and develop robust, scalable, and maintainable frontend codebases using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue, Angular).
• Lead and mentor a team of frontend developers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers and backend developers to translate designs and requirements into high-quality user interfaces.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and a seamless user experience across all devices and browsers.
• Implement best practices for code quality, testing, CI/CD, and accessibility.
• Stay abreast of emerging frontend technologies and methodologies, recommending and integrating them where appropriate.

Requirements

• Extensive experience (7+ years) in professional frontend development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Expertise in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern frontend frameworks like React, Vue.js, or Angular.
• Strong understanding of responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and web performance optimization techniques.
• Experience with build tools (Webpack, Babel), state management libraries (Redux, Vuex), and version control systems (Git).
• Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and drive technical decisions.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
