About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Frontend Engineer to join their dynamic team in Brighton . This role is crucial for defining and implementing the user interface strategy for their innovative products. You will lead a team of frontend developers, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with design and backend teams to create exceptional user experiences. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of responsive and performant user interfaces using modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React, Vue.js, Angular).
• Mentor and guide a team of frontend engineers, providing technical direction and fostering best practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate wireframes and mockups into high-quality, interactive web applications.
• Optimize application performance, ensuring fast load times and a seamless user experience across devices and browsers.
• Conduct thorough code reviews, champion code quality, and implement robust testing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 6+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior capacity.
• Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), and modern frontend frameworks.
• Strong understanding of state management, build tools, and frontend testing methodologies.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
