About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Full Stack Developer to spearhead development initiatives from their office in Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role involves guiding a team of talented developers, architecting robust web applications, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects. You will be instrumental in shaping the technical direction, fostering a culture of innovation, and maintaining exceptional code quality within the IT & Software department.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of full stack developers , providing technical guidance and code reviews.
- Architect and develop scalable, high-performance web applications using modern frameworks (e.g., React, Angular, Node.js, .NET Core).
- Oversee the entire development lifecycle, from requirements gathering and design to implementation, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, technical requirements, and timelines.
- Ensure the adoption of best practices in software development , security, and performance optimization.
- Drive technical innovation and explore new technologies to enhance product offerings and development processes.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in full stack web development, with a significant portion in a leadership role.
- Expertise in front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, modern frameworks) and back-end development (e.g., Node.js, Python, Java, C#).
- Proven experience designing and managing relational and NoSQL databases.
- Strong understanding of cloud environments (AWS, Azure) and DevOps principles.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
