About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Geotechnical Engineer to join their fully remote engineering team. This senior role is responsible for leading geotechnical investigations, analysis, and design for a diverse portfolio of challenging infrastructure and construction projects. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the geotechnical design process for complex projects, ensuring technical excellence and compliance.
- Oversee and conduct detailed geotechnical site investigations, laboratory testing interpretation, and analysis.
- Develop and implement innovative geotechnical solutions for foundations, slopes, earthworks, and retaining structures.
- Prepare comprehensive geotechnical reports, calculations, and design documentation.
- Mentor and manage a remote team of geotechnical engineers, fostering their professional development.
- Collaborate with clients, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure successful project outcomes.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in geotechnical engineering, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
- Professional Engineer (PE) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status preferred.
- Expertise in geotechnical software (e.g., PLAXIS, GeoStudio, SLOPE/W) and advanced analysis techniques.
- Proven experience in managing multiple projects and diverse teams in a remote setting.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
