About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Geothermal Engineer to spearhead their renewable energy initiatives in Coventry . This senior position involves the end-to-end management of geothermal projects, from feasibility studies and resource assessment to drilling, plant design, and operational optimization. You will be instrumental in advancing sustainable energy solutions, driving innovation in geothermal technology, and ensuring the successful delivery of high-impact projects. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of geothermal power plants and systems.
- Conduct comprehensive resource assessments and feasibility studies for new geothermal prospects.
- Manage drilling operations, including well design, supervision, and risk assessment.
- Develop and implement strategies for optimizing energy extraction and plant efficiency.
- Lead and mentor a team of engineers and technical staff, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in Engineering, Geosciences, or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in the geothermal energy sector or closely related industries (e.g., oil and gas, mining).
- Proven expertise in geothermal reservoir engineering, drilling, and power plant design.
- Strong understanding of geological surveying, geophysical methods, and thermodynamic principles .
- Excellent project management, leadership, and communication skills.
