About the Role
Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Graphic Designer to spearhead their brand's visual identity from their Birmingham office. You will be responsible for conceptualizing and executing compelling visual assets across various media, ensuring brand consistency and driving creative excellence. This role requires a strategic thinker with exceptional artistic talent and leadership skills, capable of guiding a team and inspiring creative output. You will work closely with marketing, product, and sales departments to bring the brand to life through impactful design solutions that resonate with target audiences and elevate the company's presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and oversee the execution of creative concepts for marketing campaigns, digital assets, print materials, and brand collateral.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of graphic designers, providing constructive feedback and fostering professional growth.
- Ensure brand consistency across all visual communications, adhering to and evolving brand guidelines.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project objectives and translate them into effective design solutions.
- Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from initial brief to final delivery, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities to ensure innovative and relevant design output.
Requirements
- 7+ years of professional graphic design experience, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior role.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of creative work, including branding, campaign design, and digital assets.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a design team, manage projects, and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and visual composition.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present design concepts to stakeholders.
