About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented and visionary Lead Graphic Designer to head their creative department in Birmingham . This pivotal role involves overseeing the creation of compelling visual assets across all company brands and marketing channels. You will be responsible for establishing and maintaining a strong visual identity, guiding a team of designers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality creative output that resonates with target audiences. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization and execution of graphic design projects, including branding, marketing collateral, digital assets, and campaign visuals.
- Manage and mentor a team of graphic designers, providing creative direction, feedback, and performance reviews.
- Develop and enforce brand guidelines to ensure consistency and quality across all visual communications.
- Collaborate with marketing, sales, and product teams to understand project requirements and deliver creative solutions that align with business goals.
- Oversee the production process, working with printers and digital vendors to ensure timely and high-quality output.
- Present design concepts and final deliverables to stakeholders, articulating the strategic thinking behind the creative work.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Graphic Designer , with at least 4 years in a lead or senior capacity.
- A comprehensive portfolio demonstrating expertise in branding, typography, layout, and digital design.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant design software.
- Experience in managing and motivating a creative team.
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and how graphic design supports business objectives.
- Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
