Lead Industrial Engineer - Remote

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Industrial Engineer to join their globally distributed team, working remotely from Newcastle upon Tyne or any UK location. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of innovative process improvement initiatives across multiple sites and business units.
• Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for operational efficiency, waste reduction, and cost optimization.
• Manage and mentor a team of industrial engineers, fostering their professional growth and ensuring project success.
• Oversee the analysis of complex operational data to identify trends and opportunities for automation and digital transformation.
• Collaborate remotely with site managers, operations leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of improvements.
• Champion best practices in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma, and supply chain management.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a related discipline.
• Significant experience (7+ years) in industrial engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or team management role.
• Demonstrated expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and supply chain optimization.
• Proven ability to manage complex, multi-site projects and drive change in a remote environment.
• Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership.
