About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Lead Industrial Engineer to guide their process improvement initiatives in Plymouth, Devon, UK . In this senior position, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of operational processes across multiple departments. You will leverage your extensive expertise in industrial engineering principles, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, to drive significant gains in efficiency, productivity, and cost savings. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers in the development and execution of process improvement projects.
- Develop strategic plans for optimizing production and operational workflows using advanced engineering methodologies.
- Oversee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and sustained results.
- Analyze complex operational data to identify key areas for improvement and forecast potential impacts.
- Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations in process design and implementation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with Black Belt certification highly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
