About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and results-driven Lead Industrial Engineer to guide their process improvement initiatives in Plymouth, Devon, UK . In this senior position, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and continuous refinement of operational processes across multiple departments. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers in the development and execution of process improvement projects.
- Develop strategic plans for optimizing production and operational workflows using advanced engineering methodologies.
- Oversee the implementation of Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma initiatives, ensuring successful adoption and sustained results.
- Analyze complex operational data to identify key areas for improvement and forecast potential impacts.
- Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with business objectives.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and environmental regulations in process design and implementation.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership capacity.
- Expertise in Lean Six Sigma methodologies, with Black Belt certification highly preferred.
- Proven experience in managing complex engineering projects and cross-functional teams.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Excellent presentation and communication abilities, capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
