About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead efficiency initiatives within their operations based in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex industrial engineering projects aimed at optimizing production throughput and resource utilization.
• Develop and maintain robust process documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions.
• Utilize advanced data analytics and modeling techniques to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively, ensuring successful delivery of engineered solutions.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of industrial engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and high performance.
• Liaise with senior management to present project proposals, progress reports, and strategic recommendations regarding operational enhancements.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Over 10 years of experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Expertise in Lean Six Sigma (Black Belt certification preferred), Kaizen events, and Value Stream Mapping.
• Proficiency in simulation software (e.g., FlexSim, Simio) and advanced statistical analysis tools.
• Strong understanding of supply chain principles, logistics, and inventory management.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills, with a proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
