Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly experienced and strategic Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process improvement initiatives within their state-of-the-art facility in Manchester . This leadership role involves guiding a team of engineers, setting strategic direction for operational efficiency, and ensuring the seamless integration of advanced manufacturing technologies. You will be a key player in shaping the future of our client's production capabilities, driving significant improvements in productivity, quality, and cost reduction. The successful candidate will embody a proactive approach, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous development within the engineering department, working closely with plant management.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of industrial and manufacturing engineers, fostering a high-performance culture.
• Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for operational excellence and process optimization across all production lines.
• Oversee the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes, automation solutions, and facility layouts.
• Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies, ensuring projects meet targets for quality, cost, and delivery.
• Collaborate with R&D and product development teams to ensure manufacturability and efficient production of new products.
• Present detailed project proposals, progress reports, and performance metrics to senior executive leadership.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial engineering , with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and other continuous improvement frameworks.
• Proven experience in managing large-scale process improvement projects from conception to completion.
• Strong knowledge of manufacturing systems, automation, supply chain, and operations management.
• Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and stakeholder management skills.
