About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process improvement initiatives within their manufacturing facilities in Coventry . This hybrid role offers a blend of on-site collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute strategically to operational excellence. You will lead a team of engineers, guiding them in the application of advanced engineering principles to optimize production lines, reduce waste, and enhance overall plant efficiency. This is a pivotal role for an individual passionate about operational strategy and team leadership, driving tangible improvements within a key industrial hub.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical direction and performance management.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of strategic initiatives for process optimization, capacity planning, and layout design .
- Drive the adoption of lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies across all production areas.
- Analyze operational data to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement.
- Collaborate with senior management to set performance targets and ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of engineering standards and procedures, ensuring compliance and best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
- Over 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity.
- Demonstrated success in leading complex process improvement projects and managing engineering teams.
- Expert knowledge of lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt preferred), and statistical process control.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Experience with CAD software and simulation tools for process modeling.
