About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process optimization initiatives within their significant operations in Birmingham, West Midlands . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced manufacturing and operational systems.
- Oversee and mentor a team of industrial engineers, providing technical direction and performance feedback.
- Develop and execute strategic roadmaps for process improvement and operational excellence programs.
- Analyze complex production data to identify root causes of inefficiencies and implement data-driven solutions.
- Manage major capital projects related to process upgrades and facility expansions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in operational design.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- Over 7 years of professional experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory capacity.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced lean manufacturing, Six Sigma (Black Belt preferred), and project management methodologies.
- Strong analytical capabilities and proficiency with simulation and modeling software.
- Exceptional leadership, team management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience with supply chain optimization and logistics planning.
