About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly experienced and influential Lead Industrial Engineer to spearhead process improvement initiatives within their key facility in Manchester . This senior role is critical for driving operational excellence, managing engineering projects, and mentoring a team of industrial engineers. You will be responsible for developing and implementing long-term strategies to enhance productivity, quality, and cost-effectiveness across all manufacturing and logistical operations. The successful candidate will be a strategic thinker with a proven track record of leadership in industrial engineering environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of industrial engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance feedback.
- Develop and execute strategic plans for operational efficiency, process optimization , and capacity planning.
- Oversee the design and implementation of new manufacturing processes, technologies, and facility layouts.
- Conduct comprehensive data analysis to identify areas for improvement and quantify potential gains.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations in Manchester .
- Collaborate with senior management to align engineering strategies with overall business objectives.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- Over 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering , with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and advanced process modeling.
- Strong project management skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
- In-depth knowledge of supply chain management , production planning, and quality systems.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
