About the Role
Our client is seeking a results-oriented Lead Industrial Engineer to join their operations team in Coventry . This role is pivotal in driving efficiency and productivity improvements across manufacturing and operational processes. You will lead a team of engineers, mentor junior staff, and spearhead critical projects aimed at optimizing resource utilization, reducing costs, and enhancing product quality. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of modern manufacturing methodologies, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement within a hybrid work model.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of industrial engineers , overseeing project execution and performance.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives for process optimization , lean manufacturing, and operational excellence.
- Analyze production data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement.
- Design and implement facility layouts, workflow, and equipment utilization plans.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of new equipment and production lines.
- Collaborate with R&D, quality assurance, and production departments to ensure seamless integration of new processes and products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in industrial engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
- Expert knowledge of lean manufacturing tools, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Strong experience with CAD software, simulation tools, and data analysis techniques.
- Excellent project management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to balance strategic planning with hands-on implementation in a hybrid work setting.
