Lead Industrial Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly motivated Lead Industrial Engineer to oversee and direct engineering projects within their facility in Coventry, West Midlands . This senior position requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex engineering initiatives from conception through to implementation. You will be responsible for driving operational improvements, optimizing resource allocation, and ensuring that all projects align with the company's strategic objectives and regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of large-scale industrial engineering projects, ensuring timely and budget-conscious completion.
• Develop and refine operational strategies, including workforce planning, capacity management, and workflow optimization.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to a team of industrial engineers and technicians.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends, performance gaps, and areas for strategic improvement.
• Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project progress and operational efficiency.
• Liaise with senior management, stakeholders, and external partners to communicate project status and ensure alignment.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Industrial Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• At least 7 years of progressive experience in industrial engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and driving significant operational improvements.
• Expert knowledge of operations research , simulation modeling, and statistical process control (SPC).
• Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• Strong understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
