About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Information Security Architect to join their dedicated security team in Glasgow . This role is central to designing and implementing robust, scalable, and resilient security architectures that protect the organization's digital assets. You will define security standards, guide technical teams, and ensure that security is a foundational element of all IT initiatives. Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure enterprise-level security architectures, frameworks, and roadmaps.
• Translate business requirements into robust and cost-effective security solutions, ensuring alignment with industry best practices and compliance standards.
• Evaluate and recommend new security technologies and approaches to enhance the organization's security posture.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance to security engineers, IT operations, and development teams on security best practices.
• Develop and maintain security architecture documentation, standards, and guidelines.
• Conduct security architecture reviews for new projects and system implementations to ensure adherence to security principles.
• Lead threat modeling exercises to identify and mitigate potential risks in system designs.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with a strong focus on security architecture and design.
• Deep understanding of security principles, network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure), and application security.
• Experience with security frameworks such as ISO 27001, NIST, and SABSA.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing security solutions for complex IT environments.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to influence technical and business stakeholders.
• Relevant certifications like CISSP, CISM, or TOGAF are highly advantageous.
