About the Role
Our client is seeking an accomplished Lead Information Security Engineer to spearhead their security engineering efforts within a fully remote operational model. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and management of robust security infrastructure, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and SIEM systems.
- Develop and enforce security engineering standards, best practices, and architectural guidelines.
- Oversee the security review process for new systems and applications, ensuring security is embedded from the design phase.
- Manage and mentor a team of information security engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
- Conduct regular security audits and penetration testing to identify and remediate vulnerabilities.
- Develop and maintain incident response plans and playbooks, leading the technical response to major security events.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, or equivalent extensive experience.
- Proven experience (7+ years) in security engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or management role.
- Deep expertise in network security, cloud security (AWS, Azure, GCP), and identity and access management (IAM).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for automation of security tasks.
- Strong knowledge of compliance regulations and security frameworks relevant to the industry.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
