About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead their machine learning initiatives in Coventry . You will guide a team of talented engineers in designing, building, and deploying scalable ML systems that drive business value. This role requires a blend of strong technical expertise, leadership acumen, and a passion for solving complex problems with data. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of robust, scalable, and production-ready machine learning models and systems.
• Manage and mentor a team of ML engineers, providing technical guidance and fostering their professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
• Develop and implement best practices for ML development, including MLOps, model monitoring, and A/B testing.
• Oversee the entire ML lifecycle, from data preprocessing and feature engineering to model training, evaluation, and deployment.
• Identify new opportunities to leverage machine learning and AI to enhance products and operations.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Extensive experience (5+ years) in machine learning engineering, with a proven track record of deploying models into production.
• Proficiency in programming languages like Python and experience with ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, XGBoost).
• Deep understanding of deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch.
• Strong knowledge of MLOps principles and tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
• Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing technical teams.
