Our client is looking for an experienced and visionary Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead their AI initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . You will be instrumental in designing, building, and scaling robust machine learning systems that power critical business applications. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end machine learning pipelines from data ingestion to model deployment.
- Develop and optimize scalable ML models for various applications, including predictive analytics and recommendation systems.
- Oversee the work of ML engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
- Collaborate with product managers and stakeholders to define ML requirements and project roadmaps.
- Ensure the reliability, performance, and maintainability of production ML systems.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Extensive experience (5+ years) in machine learning engineering and software development.
- Proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and MLOps practices.
- Demonstrated experience in leading technical teams and delivering complex ML projects.
