About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead the development and deployment of advanced machine learning systems. This hybrid role is based in Coventry and involves leading a team of talented engineers to build scalable, production-ready ML solutions that drive business value. You will play a critical role in bridging the gap between research and production, ensuring that our AI models are robust, efficient, and deliver tangible results. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of machine learning models and pipelines for production environments.
• Mentor and guide a team of ML engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
• Collaborate with data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to define project requirements and roadmaps.
• Optimize ML models and infrastructure for performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Establish best practices for ML development, including version control, testing, and deployment strategies.

Requirements

• Master's or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
• 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, with at least 2 years in a lead or senior role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with MLOps tools and practices (e.g., MLflow, Kubeflow, Docker, Kubernetes).
• Excellent understanding of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data engineering principles.
