About the Role
Our client is a pioneer in AI & Emerging Technologies seeking a highly experienced Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead their remote development efforts. This role is fully remote, allowing you to contribute from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying scalable machine learning systems, working on challenging problems that require innovative solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of production-grade machine learning models and platforms.
- Architect and implement scalable ML pipelines, ensuring robustness, efficiency, and maintainability.
- Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate ML models into existing systems and new products.
- Define and enforce best practices for ML development, including testing, monitoring, and version control.
- Mentor and guide a team of talented ML engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.
Requirements
- Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of professional experience in machine learning engineering, with a focus on building and deploying ML systems.
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn).
- Solid understanding of MLOps principles, CI/CD, and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with large-scale data processing and distributed computing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
