About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Machine Learning Engineer to spearhead their advanced AI initiatives in Birmingham . Key Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end development and deployment of machine learning models and pipelines.
- Architect scalable and efficient ML systems for production environments.
- Mentor and guide a team of machine learning engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence.
- Collaborate with data scientists and product managers to define project requirements and deliverables.
- Optimize model performance, monitor deployed systems, and implement continuous improvements.
- Evaluate and integrate new technologies and methodologies to enhance ML capabilities.
Requirements
- MSc or PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering with a proven track record of production deployments.
- Strong proficiency in Python and ML libraries (e.g., Scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
- Expertise in designing and implementing scalable ML infrastructure, MLOps, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
