About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented and inspiring Lead Makeup Artist & Beauty Consultant to join their upscale beauty studio in Reading . This role demands a high level of artistic skill in makeup application, combined with a consultative approach to client beauty needs. You will be responsible for delivering exceptional makeup services for various occasions, from bridal to editorial, and for providing expert beauty consultations. As a lead, you will also mentor junior artists and contribute to maintaining the studio's reputation for creativity and customer satisfaction in the vibrant Reading area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional makeup applications for clients, including bridal, special events, and photoshoots.
• Conduct thorough client consultations to understand their desired look, skin type, and event requirements.
• Provide expert advice on skincare preparation and product selection to enhance makeup longevity and finish.
• Lead and train junior makeup artists, sharing best practices and ensuring quality standards.
• Maintain an organized and hygienic makeup kit and studio environment, adhering to industry best practices.

Requirements

• Professional certification in Makeup Artistry or equivalent extensive experience.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as a professional Makeup Artist.
• Proven ability to create diverse makeup looks, from natural to glamorous, across different skin tones.
• Strong understanding of skincare principles and their relationship to makeup application.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and client management skills.
