Key Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, design, and implementation of innovative mechanical systems and products.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a remote team of mechanical engineers, fostering collaboration and high performance.
- Define and maintain mechanical design standards and best practices for the organization.
- Oversee the creation of detailed technical drawings, specifications, and documentation for manufacturing.
- Conduct advanced engineering analyses, including finite element analysis (FEA) and computational fluid dynamics (CFD), to optimize designs.
- Manage project scope, timelines, and deliverables in a remote work environment, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Requirements
- Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience (10+ years) in mechanical design, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
- Proven ability to lead and manage remote engineering teams effectively.
- Expertise in advanced CAD/CAE tools and simulation software.
- Deep understanding of various manufacturing processes, material selection, and DFM/DFA principles.
