About the Role

Our client is seeking a visionary Lead Mechanical Design Engineer to spearhead their innovative product development efforts. You will be responsible for guiding a team of talented engineers in conceptualizing, designing, and prototyping cutting-edge mechanical systems. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and development of novel mechanical systems from concept to production, ensuring technical excellence.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of mechanical engineers, fostering their growth and development.
• Oversee the creation of detailed CAD models, engineering drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Conduct rigorous design reviews, performance simulations, and component testing to guarantee product reliability and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with electrical engineers, software developers, and product managers to ensure integrated system performance.
• Champion best practices in mechanical design, documentation, and project management within a remote setting.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical design, with a significant portion in a leadership capacity.
• Proven expertise in advanced CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD , Creo) and CAE tools for simulation and analysis.
• Deep understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects remotely and lead distributed teams effectively.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, essential for a remote work environment.
