Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire lifecycle of mechanical designs, from initial concept generation through to detailed design, prototyping, and validation.
- Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance remote work environment.
- Develop and execute complex mechanical system designs , ensuring they meet stringent performance, reliability, and cost targets.
- Utilize advanced simulation and analysis tools to optimize designs and predict performance under various conditions.
- Champion best practices in design, documentation, and project management within the engineering department.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including electrical engineering, software development, and operations, irrespective of geographical location.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering design and development.
- Demonstrated experience in leading engineering projects and managing technical teams, preferably in a remote setting.
- Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks) and FEA/CFD analysis tools.
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and thermal management.
- Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with a proven ability to work autonomously.
