Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex robotic mechanical systems.
- Oversee all aspects of mechanical engineering, including mechanism design, material selection, and structural analysis.
- Collaborate closely with software, electrical, and controls engineering teams in a remote-first environment.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies and design approaches for robotic applications.
- Manage project timelines, resources, and technical risks for the mechanical engineering workstream.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of mechanical engineers.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Significant experience (8+ years) in mechanical design, with a strong focus on robotics.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and projects remotely.
- Expertise in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Fusion 360) and FEA tools .
- Strong understanding of kinematics, dynamics, control systems, and mechatronics.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
