About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and motivated Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead their engineering initiatives in Newcastle upon Tyne . Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of mechanical engineering projects, from initial concept to final implementation and support.
• Develop and implement robust engineering strategies and best practices within the department.
• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Conduct complex engineering calculations, analysis, and design validation for critical systems.
• Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and other departments to ensure project objectives are met on time and within budget.
• Drive the adoption of new technologies and methodologies to enhance design efficiency and product performance.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Extensive experience (8+ years) in mechanical engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior role.
• Demonstrated expertise in system design , fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, and mechanical vibrations.
• Proficiency with advanced simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, COMSOL) and CAD/CAM software .
• Strong project management skills and a proven track record of delivering complex engineering projects.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
