About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and visionary Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead their innovative projects. This is a fully remote position, enabling you to contribute your leadership and expertise from anywhere in the UK. You will be responsible for guiding the mechanical engineering team, driving design excellence, and ensuring the successful execution of complex projects. Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and direction to the mechanical engineering team.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems.
- Conduct advanced analysis, including FEA and CFD , to optimize designs for performance and reliability.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including specifications, technical reports, and project plans.
- Collaborate with stakeholders across R&D, manufacturing, and product management to ensure project success.
- Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering technical growth and best practices.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with significant experience in a lead role.
- Expertise in CAD software and advanced simulation tools (FEA, CFD).
- Proven ability to lead projects from conception through to completion.
- Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and system integration.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills for remote team management.
