Lead Mechanical Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead their product innovation efforts. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility to work from anywhere while driving critical mechanical engineering projects. You will provide technical leadership, mentor a team of engineers, and contribute to high-level design decisions. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems and products from concept to production.
• Provide technical direction and mentorship to a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
• Oversee the creation of detailed engineering designs, specifications, and documentation using advanced CAD and analysis tools .
• Collaborate with product management, R&D, and manufacturing teams to define project scope, requirements, and timelines.
• Conduct rigorous design reviews and performance analyses, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Champion innovation, identify new technologies, and drive continuous improvement within the engineering function.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 3 years in a lead or supervisory role.
• Extensive experience with advanced CAD software (e.g., Inventor, SolidWorks) and FEA/CFD tools.
• Proven ability to lead and manage complex engineering projects and teams.
• Strong understanding of product development lifecycles, DFM, and quality management systems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and strategic thinking skills for remote collaboration.
