About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Lead Mechanical Engineer to head up their engineering initiatives in Milton Keynes . You will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers, overseeing projects from concept to completion, and ensuring the highest standards of quality and performance are met. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of mechanical design projects, from initial concept generation to final production release.
• Develop and implement robust engineering strategies and processes to ensure project success and efficiency.
• Conduct advanced FEA and CFD analysis to validate and optimize complex designs.
• Liaise with senior management, clients, and other departments to ensure alignment on project goals and technical specifications.
• Champion best practices in design, manufacturing, and quality assurance within the engineering function.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• Extensive experience (7+ years ) in mechanical engineering, with a significant portion in a leadership or senior role.
• Demonstrated expertise in CAD/CAE tools (e.g., Siemens NX, ANSYS) and complex engineering analysis.
• Proven ability to lead and manage engineering teams and projects effectively.
• Excellent understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards relevant to mechanical design.
• Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
