About the Role

Our client is actively seeking a highly motivated and experienced Lead Mechanical Engineer to spearhead critical projects within their advanced manufacturing facility located in Coventry, West Midlands . Key Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of mechanical engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
• Oversee the complete lifecycle of mechanical engineering projects, from initial concept and design to testing, validation, and production support.
• Develop and implement technical strategies, setting clear objectives and performance metrics for the engineering team.
• Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, safety regulations, and client specifications.
• Collaborate with project managers, R&D, and other departments to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly into larger projects.
• Conduct design reviews, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field.
• A minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in mechanical engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role .
• Demonstrated expertise in CAD/CAM software (e.g., CATIA, Siemens NX) and FEA analysis .
• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials science, and product development methodologies.
• Strong project management skills with a proven ability to deliver complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills.
