About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Penetration Tester to join their expanding cybersecurity team, operating in a fully remote capacity. In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on penetration tests across various systems, networks, and applications to identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors can exploit them. You will lead testing efforts, mentor junior testers, and collaborate closely with development and operations teams to ensure security best practices are integrated into the software development lifecycle. This position is ideal for an experienced ethical hacker who thrives on finding complex security flaws and wants to contribute to strengthening our client's defenses from anywhere, promoting a remote-first culture of proactive security.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, scope, and execute comprehensive penetration tests on web applications, APIs, networks, and cloud environments.
• Identify, analyze, and document security vulnerabilities and weaknesses using a variety of tools and techniques.
• Develop clear, concise, and actionable reports detailing findings, risks, and remediation recommendations.
• Lead and mentor junior penetration testers, providing technical guidance and reviewing their work.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to facilitate the remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Stay current with the latest penetration testing methodologies, tools, and emerging threats.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in professional penetration testing.
• Demonstrated expertise in web application, network, and cloud penetration testing.
• Proficiency with various penetration testing tools (e.g., Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap).
• Strong understanding of common vulnerabilities (e.g., OWASP Top 10) and exploitation techniques.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present technical findings to diverse audiences.
