About the Role

Our client is looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Penetration Tester to join their elite security team in Glasgow . In this critical role, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and reporting on penetration tests across a wide range of systems, networks, and applications. You will lead a team of testers, mentor junior staff, and continuously enhance the testing methodologies to simulate sophisticated cyber-attacks. This position offers the chance to work on challenging engagements, identify vulnerabilities before malicious actors do, and provide actionable recommendations to improve the organization's security posture. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and execute comprehensive penetration tests, including network, web application, and mobile application testing.
• Develop and maintain cutting-edge penetration testing methodologies and tools.
• Analyze test results, identify vulnerabilities, and provide detailed, actionable remediation reports.
• Mentor and guide junior penetration testers, fostering skill development within the team.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to ensure effective remediation of identified vulnerabilities.
• Stay abreast of the latest threats, vulnerabilities, and exploitation techniques to inform testing strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in professional penetration testing.
• Proven experience with various testing tools such as Metasploit, Burp Suite, Nmap, and Kali Linux.
• Strong understanding of network protocols, operating systems, and web application security principles.
• Certifications such as OSCP, CEH, or GIAC are highly desirable.
• Excellent report writing and communication skills, vital for detailing findings in Glasgow .
