About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Penetration Tester to join their offensive security team in Bradford . This senior position requires a deep understanding of attacker methodologies and the ability to simulate real-world threats against the organisation's systems and applications. You will lead a team of testers, design comprehensive test plans, and provide actionable insights to improve the overall security posture. This is a challenging and rewarding role for an expert in ethical hacking who wants to drive significant improvements in security defence through simulated attacks and detailed analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and conduct comprehensive penetration tests across web applications, networks, and infrastructure.
• Develop and refine penetration testing methodologies and reporting standards.
• Manage and mentor junior penetration testers, providing guidance and feedback.
• Identify vulnerabilities, assess their risk, and provide detailed, actionable remediation recommendations.
• Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to technical teams and senior management.
• Stay current with the latest penetration testing tools, techniques, and threat landscapes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of experience in penetration testing and vulnerability assessment.
• Proven expertise in utilising a wide range of penetration testing tools and frameworks.
• Strong understanding of network protocols , operating systems, and web application security.
• Experience leading security assessment projects and teams is essential.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, OSCE, GPEN, or CEH are highly desirable.
