About the Role

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Lead Performance Coach to join their elite sports program in Manchester . This role focuses on developing and implementing cutting-edge training methodologies to maximize athletic potential across various sports. As the lead coach, you will oversee a team of specialized coaches, ensuring a cohesive and effective performance enhancement strategy. You will work closely with athletes, sports scientists, and medical staff to foster an environment of continuous improvement and athletic excellence within the Leisure & Sports division.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and implement holistic athlete development programs, focusing on physical conditioning, skill enhancement, and mental resilience.
• Lead and mentor a team of assistant coaches, providing guidance on best practices and performance evaluation.
• Conduct detailed performance assessments and develop individualized training plans for athletes.
• Collaborate with sports scientists and medical professionals to ensure athlete well-being and injury prevention.
• Oversee the training facilities and equipment, ensuring a safe and optimal environment for athletes.
• Stay current with the latest research and innovations in sports science and coaching methodologies.

Requirements

• Advanced degree in Sports Science, Exercise Physiology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in high-performance coaching, preferably with a professional sports team .
• Proven track record of developing athletes to achieve peak performance.
• Certifications from recognized coaching bodies (e.g., UKSCA, NSCA).
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills with a deep understanding of athlete development .
