About the Role
Our client is seeking a dedicated Lead Plumbing & Heating Technician to oversee their operations in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . You will be instrumental in ensuring the highest standards of plumbing and heating system installations and repairs across residential and commercial properties. This role requires a blend of hands-on technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. You will lead a team, manage workflow, and act as a key point of contact for complex technical queries within the Installation & Maintenance department.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide a team of plumbers and heating engineers , ensuring efficient task allocation and quality workmanship.
- Perform complex installations, repairs, and maintenance on a variety of plumbing and heating systems, including gas and water.
- Conduct regular inspections and preventative maintenance checks to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Ensure all installations and repairs adhere strictly to building regulations and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on each job.
- Provide technical support and training to junior members of the team.
Requirements
- Fully qualified Plumber and Heating Engineer with recognized certifications (e.g., Gas Safe registration).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar lead or supervisory role within the Installation & Maintenance industry.
- Demonstrated expertise in fault diagnosis, repair, and installation of domestic and commercial plumbing and heating systems.
- Strong understanding of health and safety legislation relevant to plumbing and gas work.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate a team.
- Reside within reasonable commuting distance of Coventry or be willing to travel as needed.
