About the Role
Our client is actively seeking a highly experienced Lead Plumbing Engineer to spearhead their plumbing operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This pivotal role involves overseeing a team of plumbers, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in all installation and maintenance projects. You will be responsible for the successful execution of complex plumbing systems for new builds and refurbishment projects across the region. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership capabilities, a deep understanding of plumbing regulations, and a commitment to delivering exceptional workmanship, making a significant impact on the company's operations in Tyne and Wear .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of plumbing engineers, providing guidance on technical challenges and project management.
- Oversee the installation, repair, and maintenance of complex plumbing systems , including water supply, drainage, and heating.
- Ensure all work complies with current building regulations, water bylaws, and health and safety legislation.
- Conduct site surveys and provide accurate quotations and estimates for plumbing projects.
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure seamless project delivery.
- Perform hands-on plumbing tasks when required, especially for intricate or critical systems.
Requirements
- Significant experience as a qualified Plumber , with a proven track record in a leadership role.
- Possession of relevant qualifications, such as NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of domestic and commercial plumbing systems, pipe fitting, and soldering techniques.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations, risk assessments, and safe working practices on construction sites.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- A valid UK driving license is essential for travel to various sites in and around Newcastle upon Tyne .
