Lead Process Development Scientist

About the Role

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and optimization of chemical or biochemical manufacturing processes from lab scale to pilot scale.
• Design and execute experiments to improve process yields, purity, and throughput.
• Develop robust analytical methods for monitoring and controlling process parameters.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges encountered during process scale-up and validation.
• Ensure all processes comply with safety regulations, environmental standards, and quality management systems.
• Mentor and guide junior scientists and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements

• M.Sc. or Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in process development, scale-up, and optimization within the pharmaceutical, chemical, or biotechnology industry.
• Proven track record in leading R&D projects and managing technical teams.
• Strong understanding of process safety, regulatory requirements, and quality assurance principles.
• Experience with relevant analytical techniques and process modeling software.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
