About the Role
Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Derby . This senior role is responsible for driving the development and optimization of manufacturing processes, ensuring efficiency, quality, and scalability. You will lead key projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with R&D and production teams to bring new products and process improvements to fruition. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of process engineering principles and a proven ability to lead complex technical initiatives, contributing significantly to our client's success in Derby .
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and validation of complex manufacturing and production processes.
- Optimize existing processes to improve yield, reduce waste, and enhance operational efficiency using statistical methodologies .
- Develop and maintain detailed process documentation, including P&IDs, SOPs, and control strategies.
- Troubleshoot challenging process issues, conduct root cause analyses, and implement robust solutions.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to a team of process engineers and technicians.
- Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing departments to ensure seamless product and process integration.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in process engineering, with a strong focus on manufacturing environments.
- Expertise in process simulation software , statistical process control (SPC), and design of experiments (DOE).
- Proven experience with automation and control systems , as well as process safety management (PSM).
- Strong leadership qualities, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
