Lead Process Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and direction to a team of process engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
• Develop and implement long-term strategies for process optimisation and capital investment projects.
• Oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of new process equipment and technologies.
• Conduct rigorous safety reviews, including HAZOP studies, and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
• Act as a key technical advisor on process-related matters to senior management and other departments.
• Drive initiatives to improve energy efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance the overall environmental performance of the plant in Cardiff .

Requirements

• Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent professional qualification.
• Extensive experience (10+ years) in process engineering, with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory role.
• In-depth knowledge of process design principles, P&IDs, mass and energy balances, and control systems.
• Strong experience with project management methodologies and managing large-scale engineering projects.
• Excellent understanding of safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality management systems.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
