About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to join their innovative team in Oxford . This role is instrumental in designing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing and operational processes to enhance efficiency, quality, and productivity. You will lead projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate across departments to ensure seamless process integration and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and redesign of manufacturing processes to improve throughput, reduce cycle times, and minimize costs.
- Implement and champion lean manufacturing techniques, including Six Sigma projects, to achieve measurable operational gains.
- Develop detailed process documentation, including SOPs and work instructions, ensuring standardization and best practices across operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, and quality assurance, to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
- Utilize simulation and modeling tools to evaluate process changes and predict their impact on system performance and resource allocation.
- Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on complex projects, ensuring high standards of engineering practice.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Industrial Engineering , Chemical Engineering, or a closely related field.
- A minimum of 6 years of progressive experience in process engineering , with a strong focus on manufacturing operations.
- Proven expertise in lean manufacturing , Six Sigma methodologies (e.g., Green Belt or Black Belt certification).
- Extensive experience with process simulation software and advanced statistical analysis techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex engineering projects from initiation to completion.
- Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
