About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Lead Process Engineer to spearhead their process development and optimization efforts in Plymouth . Operating within a hybrid work model, you will be responsible for guiding a team of engineers and technicians in the design, scale-up, and continuous improvement of chemical processes. This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with a proven track record in managing complex projects and driving innovation. You will play a vital role in ensuring our client remains at the cutting edge of chemical manufacturing technology and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of process engineers and technicians on key projects.
- Develop and implement strategic plans for process optimization and technology advancement.
- Oversee the design and execution of pilot plant trials and scale-up activities.
- Ensure robust process safety protocols are integrated into all project phases.
- Collaborate with R&D, operations, and other departments to achieve project objectives.
- Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources effectively.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in process engineering, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in process design, simulation (e.g., Aspen Plus ), and scale-up methodologies.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to manage complex technical projects in a hybrid work environment.
