About the Role
Our client seeks a motivated and detail-oriented Lead Process Technician to join their advanced manufacturing operations in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is crucial for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of our client's specialized production lines, focusing on precision and adherence to strict quality protocols. You will be responsible for the day-to-day technical oversight of the process, ensuring all machinery operates optimally and troubleshooting any deviations. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong technical aptitude, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of production in a complex industrial setting, working collaboratively with engineering and operations teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and perform routine maintenance, calibration, and repair of specialized manufacturing equipment.
- Monitor process parameters in real-time, making adjustments as needed to maintain product specifications.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues with machinery and production processes promptly and effectively.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure adherence to all documented operational procedures and standards.
- Train and mentor junior technicians on operational procedures and safety protocols.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance, repairs, and process performance data.
Requirements
- HND or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing).
- Proven experience as a Process Technician or similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems.
- Familiarity with process control systems and data logging.
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations within an industrial setting.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
